Friday/Saturday Recap - Easter Weekend

Luci's school and Mitch's office were closed on Good Friday, so I took off work as well. We started off the morning at The Egg and I for breakfast...we just love that place! After breakfast, Mitch finished installing our new light fixture in the entry way and Taylor came over to help him install the new ceiling fan in our living room. I am slowly but surely updating the fixtures in the house!

After the guys finished the fan, they headed out for some golf, and Luci and I headed outside for a walk! It was such a beautiful day. After our walk, Luci went down for a nap, and I started my cleaning/laundry duties for the day.

After the boys returned from golfing and Luci woke up from her nap, we got ready to go to Taylor and Kerri's for a cook out!! Kerri and Taylor grilled some awesome steaks and jalapeno poppers, and we brought green chile rice and green bean bundles!! After dinner, we played some Logo while Luci entertained us!

On Saturday, we got up and took Luci to her friend Bentley's birthday party! It was themed "My Little Pony" and they had pony rides for all the kids! Luci was a little apprehensive at first, but she ended up loving it!!! She didn't want to get off!

After the party, we came home and all 3 of us took a nap!! After my nap, I mowed the back yard (yeah, I really never do that, but I was trying to score some extra exercise and sun!) and Mitch mowed the front yard. After mowing, Luci and I got started on our cooking for Easter lunch!! I made deviled eggs and Luci and I made a bunny cake together!! The cake was pink lemonade with pink lemonade and cotton candy frosting!!! It was good...and a lot of fun to make with her!!!

We had a couple of mishaps with the bow tie...but I don't think it looks too shabby!!!

Before bed, we decided to go ahead and give her the Easter surprises we had for her. Luci is REALLY scared of the Easter Bunny so we just told her that Mommy and Daddy were giving her the Easter Basket instead of the bunny. She is really freaked out by him!

After the Easter basket fun, we headed to bed so we could get up bright and early to go to Paris for church and lunch with my family!
