Luci's school was closed on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving so she went to Mimi's for the day. After Mitch and I got off of work, we headed down to Paris for a little potato soup and pumpkin bread!!! Yum Yum!! We visited with Renata's crew for a while and then headed over to the Lowe's house to see PRESLEY!!!...oh, and Tasha and Andrew too...I think they were there...!!! Lol!

Luci and her Aunt Nata (Renata, my mom's sis)
That night, we hosted the boys from Renata's crew (Jordan, Jathan, and Chase) at my Mom's house...and I'm pretty sure Mitch joined them for video games most of the night...Ahem.
We spent Thanksgiving Day cooking, EATING, and visiting! My contributions this year were Sweet Potato Casserole (since my Aunt Terri wasn't there to make it...hers is so much better than mine!) and roasted, sweet brussel sprouts with pecans! The food was all delish...and I ate wayyyy too much.
Our little Thanksgiving Turkey!
Later on Thanksgiving evening, we all headed back to FSM to do a little Black Thursday (?) shopping. PePaw and Mark watched the kiddos while the rest of us went out. We hit one store and then called it a night. I just can't really get into shopping on Thursday.
Mitch and I (for like the first time in years) actually went to sleep all night and slept in on Black Friday!! Not too shabby! We got back out a little later for more shopping on Friday.
Later Friday afternoon, we got out the Christmas decorations and put up the tree! Luci really enjoyed getting to decorate this year. I love that she is really "getting into" Christmas now!
Tradition.
I love my white tree!! I get so much gruff from everyone about it, but I don't care! I love it!
On Saturday, Luci let us sleep in until 8:30!!!!!! It was sooo nice! After we got up and got around, Mitch and I started putting lights on the house...that was pretty much how most of our Saturday went. We took a little Cherry Berry break somewhere in there...
On Sunday, we got up and went to church...and then came home and finished the lights!!
I can't wait for Luci to wear all of her Christmas outfits!!!
We had such a nice, fun Thanksgiving break...and I can't wait for Christmas break to get here!!!
