She loves to play baby. She does everything with her baby...feed, put to bed, hold, pat, and even put in time out. I swear we don't put Luci in time out very much, but strangely her baby ends up in time out all the time! The other day I barely stopped a tragic accident when she tried to take baby to potty...on the big potty...yikes!
She loves to help me clean and unload the dishwasher. She loves to play outside.
She loves to sing and be sung too!!! Some of her favorite songs are "This Little Light of Mine", "Father Abraham", "Itsy Bitsy Spider", "Ring around the Rosey", "If you're happy and you know it", "Deep and Wide", "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes", and "The Alphabet Song." This girl absolutely loves songs! Her daycare teacher even commented on how much she loves singing!
She is definitely "Miss Independent". She rarely wants helps with things and gets frustrated when she can't do something fast enough. i.e. take off her socks. She can put her own shoes on and doesn't really let Mitch or I do it for her anymore. I simply point to her what shoe goes on what foot and she puts it on...tennis shoes and all...now obviously she can't tie them herself, but she does an excellent job of putting them on.
What she is eating:
Favorite foods: CHEESE and MILK, cottage cheese, peas, carrots, turkey, ham, chicken, fruit snacks, gold fish crackers, chocolate, bread, applesauce
Least favorite foods: Most fruits, potatoes, eggs, anything that she randomly decides she doesn't want!
What she is saying:
Luci is talking more and more! We still don't understand all of what she is saying...and usually just Mitch and I know how to interpret some of the words, but she is really coming around with all of her language! I couldn't possibly list all of her words she says, but I will list some... more, milk, cheese, momma, dada or daddy, mimi, pepaw, nana, walk, please, no, thank you, love you, broke, what's that, hot, side, hi, bye, hello, most of her colors, most of her animals, some of her shapes...we are working on grammy, granddaddy, all of her aunts, uncles, and cousins, jesus, amen. She will pretty much attempt any word you ask her to say. Sometimes it will be clear and sometimes I have no idea what she is saying! lol!
She can say animal sounds for cow, lion, sheep, pig, cat, dog, duck, kind of owl and we are working on rooster.
She can point and name most of her body parts...eyes, nose, mouth, lips, teeth, tongue, hair, cheeks, chin, elbow, knees, feet, toes, hands, fingers, shoulders, bobo, and of course her favorite, the belly button!
Random facts:
Our nightly routine is either Momma or Daddy reads 2-3 books, then we all pray, and then we lay down with her for about 10 minutes and sing to her. She usually falls asleep at this point and we get up. We have yet to have her last all night in her own bed...She usually toddles in our room at some point during the night/early morning.
Still taking a paci at naptime, bedtime, and in the car (sometimes)... we will work on giving that up this summer.
Still pretty much just pottying when she wants to...we will work more on that this summer.
The tantrums are in full force sometimes!!! But generally overall she is soooo sweet! She loves to give love to everyone and blow kisses! We love our baby girl...who is growing up way too fast!!!
