Bad photo quality, but here is a pic of our sick girl. She has had some nasty virus all week. My Mom, Nana, and Mitch and I have taken turns staying home with her. Poor thing feels just terrible.:-(

Luci and the Thermometer

We made a trip to Wal-Mart last night to a. pick up our site to store deliveries and b. purchase our 2nd $37 temporal artery thermometer. Why you ask would we need another thermometer...and especially since it cost $37? This would be because Luci felt that our first one was better off swimming in the potty. So, being the great, understanding parents we are (ha!) we purchased another...although, I did tell her that in order for us to purchase another...she must help pay for it...so, what did she do? She immediately applied for a job!!! :-)

Oh, and then I told her if the 2nd one ends up in the toilet, our next purchase will not be the $37 scan across your forehead kind. She will instead get the $2 rectal one. I think we have come to an understanding now. :-)

Weekend Recap- Kind Of

Our weekend was really busy, and I am really tired so I won't go into a million details about it, but the highlight of the weekend was the baby shower I hosted for Quinn and Baby Ellie in Paris! She got sooooo many nice, cute things!!!! I just love seeing all the tiny clothes!! It makes me miss Luci being that small! (Don't get any ideas, we are nowhere near ready for Minnick #2!!!) I am so excited for Quinn, Mark, and Brendon and can't wait for Baby Ellie to arrive in February!! Here are some pics of the shower!

The Most Random Blog Ever

I had a REALLY busy weekend and too busy at work to do a full update, so I will do that later tonight or tomorrow. In the mean time though, I thought I would share a pic of what I woke up to on Sunday morning!

No, I did not get hit! I really don't know what happened. I woke up like this...put ice on it, and within a few hours it was almost back to normal. It didn't hurt and wasn't bruised. It was the strangest thing ever!

Also, I came across this pic the other day. It is a snapshot of the text Mitch sent out when we found out Luci was a girl...if you can't tell, he was kind of hoping for a boy... :-)

Pretty sure he wouldn't trade her in for anything though!!!!

Random Wednesday

I've been on the lookout for some new, simple, quick dinner recipes, and last night we tried Pioneer Woman's Mini Meatball Sandwiches! They were sooo good and sooo easy!!! Mitch and Luci enjoyed them as well! We will definitely be having them again soon!

My sandwiches don't look as pretty as Pioneer Woman's, but they were sure tasty!

I am at a weight loss of 14 1/2 lbs!!! I fully expected that Thanksgiving would be rough on me, but I'm pretty sure that the stomach bug I had all weekend saved me a few pounds...I didn't get to eat near what I was hoping to!!! I can just make up for lost time at Christmas!! :-)

I am gearing up for Quinn's baby shower this weekend in Paris for Miss Ellie Kate!!! I will post more next week!!! I am super excited!!!
