Playing at Creekmore!
Last night the Minnick Family went over Kerri's house for a yummy pot roast dinner, complete with gluten free cookies and lactose free ice cream for dessert!! It was very good!!! Luci was very intrigued with Spunky, but mostly liked him from a distance. She loved talking to him, but the second he got up to come over to her, she immediately wanted to be held. We need to get her around Spunky more! After dinner we headed out to Creekmore park to ride the Christmas train and see all of the lights. The train ended up having a fuel issue once we got there, so we just walked around and enjoyed the lights!!! Luci had a blast!!! We could barely keep up with her!

Let the Festivities Begin!!!
Luci had her Christmas party at her school on Friday! Nothing huge for her age group...just lots of sugary snacks!! Fun fun!!! She crashed early that night!!

Saturday we celebrated Christmas at Nana's! It was so good seeing our family that we only get to see a few times a year! We had an awesome meal of turkey and all the trimmings and played an exciting game of Dirty Santa! Aside from trying about 15 million times to get all of the grand kids to look at the same camera at the same time, the day was fabulous! I love my family so much!!

Sunday was Christmas Sunday at our church in Paris...Mom made Luci's outfit!!! Didn't she do such an awesome job???!!!

Well, we are heading to Mitch's folks for Christmas Eve, back to our house for Christmas morning and then to my folks for the rest of Christmas day!!! I can't wait!!!

Luci the MoNkEy
I haven't done much blogging this week due to feeling totally lousy from whatever sickness Luci decided to pass on to me (she's so generous); however, I did want to mention one of FSM's newest fun places, the Monkey House. It is basically a big building with tons of inflatables. Luci was invited to a 3rd birthday party for one of our good friends, and we took her there Tuesday night. Luci is just shy of meeting the recommended age for this place, but there were going to be other little kids there like her, so we figured it would be ok. She was a little hesitant on the inflatables at first, but warmed up quickly once we took her down a few slides! They have a special inflatable dedicated to just 3 and under so we were able to just sit in there with her (parents are allowed on anything with their kiddos) and let her play. Then, the biggest kid of all (Mitch) decided he wanted to take her on the giant slides...well, this Momma couldn't be outdone, so I had to take her on a few as well!! I think I overdid it a bit because I felt absolutely horrible on Wednesday. Oh well, she had fun, and so did we!! We will definitely be taking her back there to play sometime soon!
Not too sure about this...

Ok, this isn't so bad!

Now I'm really having fun!!!

Just having fun!

I want to go back Momma!!

A Weekend at Home
We had a pretty non-eventful weekend until Sunday night. Luci was sick with some yucky virus (which she has ever so kindly now passed on to me) Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of this past week, so we spent most of the weekend at home. We did get out a few times for breakfast at Village Inn and to do a little shopping...and Wal-Mart (yuck).
Sunday night, the Minnick family hosted Kerri over for another Gluten Free Friendly Meal!!! Here is the recap on our first one. This time I made gluten free spaghetti, green beans, and salad with gluten free "croutons". Kerri supplied her own special gluten, dairy, and soy free dressing!! Everything was good!! You would have never known that the pasta was missing gluten! lol! After dinner, we loaded up and went for ice cream (frozen yogurt for Kerri...I think Mitch got that too...) and to look at Christmas lights!! Poor little Luci was asleep before we barely pulled out of the drive. She doesn't even know what fun she missed! Aside from our tour guide (Mitch) taking us by the same house like 15 times, we had tons of laughs and a great time!!!
Even though we didn't do much this weekend, I love our weekends together as our little family of three, and I am so thankful my little princess is feeling better...now if I could just start feeling better... :-)

Letter from Santa
Our good friends, the Newman's, recently braved the blistering cold and spent some time in Alaska with the UA Fort Smith men's basketball team! During their trip, they made a stop at North Pole, Alaska to see the REAL Santa Claus! Now, how do I know he's the real deal?! Duh! He's at the North Pole!!!! That is where the REAL Santa is right?!?! The Newman's were kind enough to put a good word in for Luci with Santa, and he sent her a letter back to Fort Smith!!! Here is Luci getting her letter!! (Thanks J & R!!!)

Luci and the Thermometer
We made a trip to Wal-Mart last night to a. pick up our site to store deliveries and b. purchase our 2nd $37 temporal artery thermometer. Why you ask would we need another thermometer...and especially since it cost $37? This would be because Luci felt that our first one was better off swimming in the potty. So, being the great, understanding parents we are (ha!) we purchased another...although, I did tell her that in order for us to purchase another...she must help pay for it...so, what did she do? She immediately applied for a job!!! :-)

Oh, and then I told her if the 2nd one ends up in the toilet, our next purchase will not be the $37 scan across your forehead kind. She will instead get the $2 rectal one. I think we have come to an understanding now. :-)
