Emmi Update!!! 22 Weeks-27 Weeks

Wow...I am soooo far behind on these baby updates. Life has been quite hectic lately and blogging has definitely been pushed to the back burner! Well, here we go...better late than never!! Oh...and I missed a few weeks here and there...

22 Weeks

23 Weeks

 24 Weeks

27.5 Weeks

We have started working on the nursery. We are having to take a bright red room to a pale, pale pink room...and that is taking some time!! Once we have that all together, my friend Jen is going to help me with some decoration ideas and monogrammed photos!! I will show pics once we get moving along.

I have been feeling decent lately. I am really starting to feel more and more tired. Emmi moves sooo much these days. It has really gone from little kicks and flutters to full out jabs and punches! She is just little Miss Activity!

I am happy to report that although I am still taking zofran most mornings, I have not thrown up in several weeks!! Whoop whoop!!!

I had my glucose testing and that turned out fine.

I have my Rh immunoglobulin injection on Friday. Thanks to my negative blood type and Mitch's positive blood type, I have to have 2 injections to prevent my body from essentially "attacking" Emmi if she has a positive blood type. We did this same rodeo with Luci...so there shouldn't be any problems.

My blood pressure has been slightly elevated...but nothing to be overly concerned about at this point.

Most days I want to eat all day long. My weight is slightly elevated. Ok, that was a lie. My weight is very elevated! lol! I'm not worried about it. I lost with Luci...I will do it again!

No unusual cravings...just the usual sweet stuff. I could probably eat my weight in donuts. Full disclosure: I probably have a time or two...but that's a different story for another day. :-)

Luci is sooooo excited. She wants to kiss on my belly all.the.time. She talks to Emmi and has even started "reading" to Emmi. I have a feeling they are going to be such good friends!

Our car seat we ordered came in...Luci immediately thought it was just for her to play with...sigh...we had to hide it in the closet.

We had an another ultrasound when I was about 22 weeks. Emmi was growing right on track and weighed in at 1 lb 1 oz. I just loved getting a peek at our sweet girl!!! Those little dots above her nose are her fingers. The tech said that she had her hand across the top of her forehead....a little Diva already!

Well, I guess that ought to do it for the update! I will try my best to finish strong...and keep up with my posts!!

Myrtle Beach Days 5, 6, & 7

On Wednesday, we did the usual and woke up and went to the beach! Luci and Daddy spent a lot of time building sand castles! I spent a lot of time sitting in a chair covered up since I had burned myself so bad... :-/

After the beach, we cleaned up and got ready to go eat and go to a baseball game to see the Myrtle Beach Pelicans play. The Pelicans are a minor league affiliate of the Texas Rangers...so we went decked out in our Rangers gear! Some guy stopped us in the park and said, "Wow! You guys are fans all the way up to the top!" Yup, we sure are! Luci got to pick dinner that night...and she selected Planet Hollywood. She was obsessed with checking out the giant "blue ball" out front!

Mitch was so excited to take her to her first baseball game!

On Thursday, it rained most of the day. We hung out in the condo for a while and then ventured out for lunch at Margaritaville and to a Children's Museum. The Children's Museum was kind of a bust...but Luci still had fun. That night we hit up a local seafood joint...where we got to enjoy watching a few alligators while we ate!!

Inside of a giant bubble!!

On Friday, Tropical Storm Andrea had made her landing and it was wayyyyy to windy for us to go out anywhere in the morning. In afternoon the winds died down a bit, so Mitch, Luci, Mom, and I went out for a little more shopping! Mitch ended up picking up a new set of irons (for his birthday) while we were out! That night we went for a fun dinner at Senor Frogs...and then back to the condo to pack up. We flew home the next day!

Someone found a friend!

Making good use of her time while Daddy was shopping for irons!

Senor Frogs!

We had such a fun vacation in Myrtle Beach!!! Next vacation, we will have 4 members in our family!!

Myrtle Beach- Day 3 and 4

We woke up on Monday and headed back down to the beach for more playtime. Luci still preferred finding sea shells and digging in the sand rather than splashing in the water! We played for a while, and then headed back up to the pool so she could swim.

Ready for a day at the beach!

Daddy wrote her name in the sand!

Daddy taking a turn at digging!

PePaw's turn now!

I love this pic of these two!

Mom cooked dinner in the condo that night, so we ate in and then headed out after to a golf store (where Mitch picked up some new golf shoes for Father's Day!) and Broadway at the Beach. We walked around for a few hours exploring and shopping.

Boardwalk photo opp!

This top pic was taken in 2007 outside of Tiki Jim's when we were on our honeymoon. The bottom pic is 6 years later in the same spot!

Feeding the fish!

Oh, just hanging around!

On Tuesday, Mitch and PePaw woke up early and met Taylor at a golf course for a round of golf. Taylor just happened to be in Myrtle Beach for a work conference so we were able to meet up! Mimi, Luci, and myself headed down to the beach/pool while they were golfing.

Making her own little castle! She loved decorating with shells!

Shell hunting!

After golf and the beach, everyone cleaned up and met at a local German restaurant. Mimi and PePaw weren't huge fans, but Mitch and I loved it!

We were missing Kerri from the Fab 5 (almost Fab 6)!!!!

After dinner, Taylor went on to retrieve a golf club he left at the course while the rest of us headed to Barefoot Landing to explore! Another fun night was had by all!

Myrtle Beach Vacation- Days 1 & 2

Day 1- We woke up Saturday morning excited and ready to go! We were already long packed because Mom and Dad started driving on Friday morning, and they took the majority of our luggage. We pretty much just got our carry on stuff ready and made sure the house was taken care of. Luci had a birthday party at noon that day...so we just went for a bit so she could say hi and then drop off her gift.

The party was a full out Princess party, and we were requested to go in full princess attire. Well, since we were only staying 20 minutes...and then heading straight for the airport, I decided a simple princess crown would have to do! She had a good time...and the party was sooo cute!

Walking in the FSM airport! Sooo proud of her new Hello Kitty luggage!

We ate at a Friday's in the Atlanta airport, and Mitch and I both ordered steaks. Apparently they only give out plastic knives because of security reasons...should have ordered a burger!

The airport was a breeze, and Luci was such a big girl going through security. We had a lonngggg layover in Atlanta...but we made do. We arrived in Myrtle Beach around 9:45pm EST. Mom and Dad picked us up shortly from the airport, and we headed to the condo!

Day 2- We woke up fairly early and were ready to head to the beach!!! Luci immediately loved the sand and sea shells...but was NOT a fan of the water!!! We played at the beach for the morning, hit one of 9 pools at the condo for a bit, and then went back up for lunch (we ate lunch everyday but one in the condo...and breakfast too!). After lunch we we went back to the beach and back to the pool for a bit!

Beautiful view from the condo balcony.

First time to spot the ocean!

Ready to head down to the beach!

Spotting the ocean!

Beach Girl!!

This pic seriously cracks me up! She was NOT a fan of the water! Daddy to the rescue!

Although not a fan of the water, she had a great time looking for shells and digging in the sand!

Having fun with Mimi and PePaw!

First stop by one of the pools! This pool was her favorite. It had a shape to it that looked like the Mickey  face and ear shape...so she called it the "Mickey Mouse Pool" the entire time!

Back to the beach after lunch! She was a little more brave and sure of herself in the afternoon!

Love these pics! She was having soo much fun!

After play time, Mitch and I got ready to go out and celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary while Mom and Dad kept an eye on Luci back at the condo. I had picked the Melting Pot to go eat and celebrate...We had never eaten there before and it was a fun experience!!! Mitch surprised me with flowers, chocolate covered strawberries, and a picture frame when we got there!!! It was so sweet!

Ready to go eat!

I can't believe it has been 6 years. There is no one else I would rather spend the rest of my life with!

Fun at The Melting Pot!
